What's Present Now | Simple Practice | Updates + Offerings

Greetings Reader,

What’s present for you right now?

Presence has been on my mind lately.

As another month turns and time ticks on, it feels easy to get pulled into its spiral.

Yet, a new awareness of time is emerging. More and more folks are understanding that our modern construct of time is not the only way.

In 2025 I spent time learning about Mayan concepts of time - specifically the Mayan Cholq'ij Calendar. I honestly just scratched the surface. But what resonated most - and still does - was the way balance was prioritized. There was a time and place for everything in the 20-day cycle. Definitely check out this fascinating Mayan Calculator if you’re curious to learn more.

The course reminded me of how balance is a central theme of Hatha Yoga. Sun and moon. Movement and stillness. Body and Mind.

Practicing presence is a first step to creating balance in our lives. Often, when we ignore what’s most present, we are either ruminating on the past or fixating on the future. Being with what is most present allows us to acknowledge and celebrate our blessings or give due attention to what is asking to be healed.

As you go through the month, remember to return to the present moment, as often as you can. No matter what calendar you choose to follow, being in the now brings our energy and attention to where it is most empowered. The simple practice below is a fun way to bring yourself fully into the moment.

This I Know: There is a time and place for everything. Balance is the key to having a well rounded, healthy experience of life. Too much of any one thing is unhealthy. Extremes of anything are toxic.

Shanti 🙏🏽 Peace

Simple Practice

Be Here Now

As you go through your day, try narrating your activities. For example, say: “I’m brushing my teeth” or “I’m washing the dishes” or “I’m heading out for a walk”. Narrate as much detail as you'd like to make it even more fun and engaging!

Notice how speaking it out loud brings you more into the moment.
