What's Present Now | Simple Practice | Updates + Offerings

Greetings!

Welcome to June Reader! Are you ready for some new energy?☀️

I'm greeting you today fresh from a 2-day water fast. It’s been really good to take a rest from food and eating. No grocery shopping. No meal planning. No cooking. This simple shift has brought the fresh, renewed energy I was looking for.

I’ve been reminded how easy it is to do our daily grind and get pulled into routines on repeat. There’s a place for structure and systems, for sure. And there’s also a time to press pause so new energy can flow.

Of course, it can feel hard to pull the breaks on our daily routines. It can be disruptive or maybe even a bit chaotic. But that’s exactly where the magic is. Stepping out of a normalized habit requires us to be open to the new. It invites us to be creative in doing without what we’ve come to rely on - even if only for a short time. It lets us tap into strength and skill we may have forgotten we have.

The fasting wasn’t necessarily easy, but it was definitely worth it. The lightness alone feels wonderful. Remembering this version of strength and capacity in my body has been a gift. We do have the ability to endure challenges and the right kind of rest can help us access that strength. And there was also the clarity and insight I experienced - yet another gift of this rest.

Side Note: Please do not take this as advice or even as a suggestion to fast. I have found it quite effective but please seek out guidance on fasting from a trained professional.

This I Know: Rest doesn’t always mean lying in bed doing nothing. Rest can also mean a conscious pause on our regular routine. A break from our habits. A contemplation of our default doing. When we consciously interrupt our patterns, we allow space for discernment and fresh energy to enter the chat. We can hear our truth more clearly. From there we can start to create lives where rest is used less for “recovery” and more as a normal way of strengthening our inner knowing and our overall wellbeing.

Wishing you fresh, new energy this month to keep your tank filled and ready to receive whatever you most want to experience ✨

Shanti 🙏🏽 Peace

Simple Practice

Drink More Water

It's widely known that most folks don't drink as much water as their body needs. For this month, try filling a 1 litre bottle each day and commit to finishing it - in addition to the water you normally drink. Replace one habit like a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine with a spruced up glass of agua. For fun, you can:

  • Add a splash of Rose or Orange Water 🍊
  • Infuse a cinnamon stick
  • Add a little frozen fruit or fresh herbs 🫐
  • Top up with tonic water (my personal fave)

Notice if you have more energy, if your sleep improves or anything else that may shift.
